After 30 years as an educator, Randy Harvey added a law degree to his Ph.D., Masters degree and two bachelor degrees. He has served as chief labor negotiator to school districts, and has extensive experience negotiating contracts, handling labor arbitrations, discharge and dismissals, employment misconduct investigations, and a host of other education related skills. He has been in charge of drafting School Board Policy, negotiating labor contracts with classified, licensed and administrative personnel, and is thoroughly acquainted with schools at every level of operation, including facilities operations and management.

The greatest threat to quality education comes from outside the classroom seeking to take decision making away from those assigned the task of leading and managing schools and insuring high quality instruction. Schools deserve knowledgeable advocates negotiating contracts that protect student learning and the right of school boards and administrations to decide for their community.

Our attorney has been on the front lines during the aftermath of a major school shooting--coordinating and preventing litigation. He has handled highly public employee discharge cases; negotiated union contracts through mediation and arbitration, strike preparation; been a school principal for 13 years and an HR professional for 12 years and a labor relations consultant since 1995. Dr. Harvey has taught labor negotiations, contract management, education law, policy and ethics at the university. In addition to these accomplishments he is the 2004 Toastmaster International World Champion of Public Speaking.
